Trick of the Tail is superb. Although I prefer the earlier stuff to the later more poppy albums, it didn’t all go down hill with Gabriel’s departure. As you rightly say, this is the first post-Gabriel effort, and Collins as vocalist is a revelation. Quite right. The quality continued right through to, and including, Duke.
